Petaling Jaya, Wednesday, 11th February 2026 – Cili Kampung Malaysia, the acclaimed leader in authentic Malay dining, announced the acquisition of a 50% equity stake in the renowned artisanal brand, Dotty’s Pastries & Coffee (Dotty’s), at an official signing ceremony held at Ruang Rama Event Space today.
Signing on behalf of Cili Kampung Malaysia was its Director, Encik Khairul Anwar Dato’ Sri Abdul Azeez, while signing on behalf of Dotty’s was its founder Puan Nadia Nasimuddin. They were accompanied by Encik Kesavan (KC) Purusottaman, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Cili Kampung Malaysia, and Cik Kaylee Low, Senior Commercial and Business Development Manager of Dotty’s Pastries & Coffee.
Well regarded as Kuala Lumpur's favourite bakery, Dotty’s Pastries & Coffee occupies a unique space that blends artisanal craft with high-frequency consumer demand, while Cili Kampung is a brand that has mastered the art of authentic Malaysian hospitality.
This transformative move marks a pivotal milestone as Dotty’s enters its landmark 10th anniversary. This union is engineered to leverage Cili Kampung's aggressive operational scale, in expanding Dotty's market footprint and solidifying its position as Malaysia's definitive Halal-certified artisanal dining destination.
“Our acquisition of a 50% stake in Dotty's is a deliberate move to institutionalize a brand that has defined the all-day dining experience for a decade. With a valuation of RM24 million, we are signaling our confidence in Dotty's legacy. By combining our operational DNA with Dotty's artisanal excellence, we are creating a powerhouse that will redefine the hospitality landscape in Malaysia and beyond,” expressed Anwar Azeez in his opening address.
“We are merging two of Malaysia’s most formidable culinary identities. On one side, you have Cili Kampung—a brand that has mastered the art of authentic Malaysian hospitality and rapid operational scale. On the other, you have Dotty’s—a brand that has spent a decade perfecting the intersection of contemporary lifestyle and artisanal quality,” he added.
“As Dotty’s enters its tenth year, our focus is on evolving from a beloved local icon into a scalable national powerhouse. This partnership with Cili Kampung is built on a shared commitment to excellence and authentic hospitality. I am excited to see Dotty’s grow into its full potential as a premier all-day dining, backed by the operational strength that Anwar Azeez and his team bring to the table. We are preserving the artisanal ‘warmth’ that our customers love while building a future that is sustainable and expansive,” shared Nadia during her speech.
“We are not just selling pastries; we are building a hospitality infrastructure that represents the best of Malaysia. I am incredibly proud of the legacy we have built, and I am even more excited to see where this next chapter takes us,” added Nadia.
The primary objective of this strategic alliance is also to move Dotty's beyond its “boutique” status. Cili Kampung will apply its proven rapid-growth model to help Dotty's capture a larger slice of the F&B market.
With Dotty's comes a JAKIM Halal-certified central kitchen and premium artisanal IP, while Cili Kampung brings operational command, supply chain efficiency, and aggressive expansion expertise.
By combining these two brands, the group aims to create a dominant force in the “Modern Malay” lifestyle segment, catering to both traditional diners and the premium cafe-hopping demographic, turning both brands into scalable “Malay Vertical” powerhouses.
