Qalam Band Returns with Latest Single “Tanpa Noktah”

KUALA LUMPUR — Perak-based music group Qalam Band makes a strong return with their latest single “Tanpa Noktah”, a contemporary ballad that captures the heartbreak of a love story left hanging without explanation. Released just two weeks ago, the song is already drawing warm responses from loyal fans and new listeners alike.

Formed in 2011, Qalam Band has built a reputation for heartfelt music rooted in modern and contemporary ballads, blending elements of pop, soul, and light orchestral arrangements. Known previously for their single “Di Lamun Rindu”, the band continues to stay true to its vision of creating works that carry emotional depth, relatable narratives, and reflections of real-life experiences.

Written and composed entirely by bassist Mukhrizad, “Tanpa Noktah” was inspired by real events and portrays the emotions of someone abandoned suddenly—without explanation, without closure, left with questions that linger endlessly. With its minimalist arrangement, the song strips back to highlight the raw emotion of the vocals and lyrics, leaving a lasting impression on the listener.

The production process spanned two months, from melody development to recording, mixing, and mastering. According to Qalam Band, the greatest challenge was delivering the song’s emotions sincerely—without exaggeration—given its deeply personal and meaningful lyrics.

“‘Tanpa Noktah’ reflects a more mature and profound side of our music. It is not just a love song—it is a heartfelt confession of emotions too heavy to put into words. We hope this song reaches those who are hurting, who have experienced sudden loss, and becomes a voice for unspoken feelings,” the band shared.

Looking ahead, Qalam Band is planning strategic collaborations with fellow local artists while working on a mini album featuring several new tracks. They are also expanding their presence through live performances, streaming platforms, and digital-first channels such as TikTok and YouTube Live.

“Tanpa Noktah” is now available on all major music streaming platforms.
